aera LIVING
live in 72 hours.

A new way of living, a topic nobody likes to think about, and an info evening in three days. We turned that into two websites that don't sell, but ask a question: does my home still suit the years ahead?

About
the project.

aera LIVING is planning a new way of living with the Wohnquartier Lauter residential quarter in the Rems-Murr district: high-quality and step-free, with support you only use if you really want it. It's meant for people who live well today and want to be prepared for the years to come.

wohnquartier-lauter.de ↗ (opens in new tab, German)

At a glance

  • Website for the Wohnquartier Lauter
  • Wohnzukunft-Kompass: a self-test with 10 questions
  • Instagram channel with an editorial calendar until the end of the year
  • Fixed date: info evening on 7 October 2026

The
requirements.

Nobody googles "housing for later". Whoever lives well today sees no reason to think about stairs, houses that are too big or tomorrow's running costs – until it's too late to decide calmly.

Three hurdles

  • No felt need: The topic is abstract as long as it doesn't affect you personally. A classic project page with floor plans would have lost exactly these people.
  • No appetite for selling: The target group reads thoroughly, decides slowly and drops off as soon as something feels like pressure.
  • No time: The info evening was fixed and announced – but there was nothing online yet. About 72 hours were left until the date.

Two sites,
one presence.

One site explains why the topic matters now. The other turns it into a personal question. Both look the same, speak the same way and lead to the same next step.

Desktop

Lauter
wohnquartier-lauter.de
Wohnquartier Lauter website (German) – hero with the aera LIVING logo, the headline “We live longer. Does our home live with us?” and a button to the self-test

A clear question as the headline, the way to the self-test always in view.

Kompass
wohnzukunft-kompass.de
Wohnzukunft-Kompass website (German) – hero with the question “How well does your home suit the coming years?” and the button “Check my situation”

Free, anonymous, three minutes: everything important is there before the first click.

Mobile

Headline and entry point on the first screen, built for mobile.

Kompass
wohnzukunft-kompass.de
Wohnzukunft-Kompass website on a smartphone – question, benefits and a button to start the self-test

Large type and large buttons that are easy to hit on a phone.

The
execution.

Instead of selling the quarter, we first let visitors check their own situation. The Wohnzukunft-Kompass asks ten simple questions and says honestly at the end whether their home suits them well, small adjustments are enough or a new way of living offers more freedom.

Only those who recognise themselves in the result end up at the Wohnquartier Lauter – and can get in touch straight from the result.

Wohnzukunft-Kompass (German), question 1 of 10: “How do you get into your home today?” with three answers to choose from

The building blocks in detail.

Wohnzukunft-Kompass

Ten questions, three possible results, free and anonymous. Turns an abstract topic into a personal question – in three minutes.

Wohnquartier Lauter

Explains why the topic is due now and presents the answer: the quarter and the idea behind it. The way to the Kompass is one click away on every page.

Instagram

Its own channel with an editorial calendar until the end of the year: carousels and reels that keep the topic in the conversation and lead to the Kompass.

Design for the target group

Calm, warm, large type and large buttons. Tested on phone, tablet and desktop – also with enlarged text.

Our
approach.

01

Go live

Both sites on their own domains, self-test and enquiry fully tested – in good time before the info evening.

02

Support the info evening

A notice with a flyer on the website that switches itself off when the event begins.

03

New design

Right afterwards, both sites rebuilt in the aera LIVING look, tailored to the target group.

04

Stay in the conversation

Instagram on a weekly rhythm, plus ongoing maintenance of both websites.

The
result.

Both sites were live just in time for the info evening. Whoever heard about the info evening found not a construction site online, but an entry point that suited them.

What changes for aera LIVING

  • Visitors don't need to bring an interest in the quarter – the Kompass meets them where they are
  • One click turns a result into a concrete enquiry, without a detour via the phone
  • No sales pressure: the sites explain instead of pushing, and so suit the target group
  • One consistent presence – website, Kompass and Instagram look the same and say the same thing
  • The topic stays visible beyond the info evening instead of disappearing after the date
